As a pizza and garlic fingers lover, I love trying pizza places. My sister had to get some tests done so we stayed at a hotel and ordered from here today as it was snowing somewhat heavily. I loved the pizza and garlic fingers. The donair sauce was very good but I've had better. 4 stars only because they haven't beaten my favorite pizza place...but they are CLOSE
I don't even care the day of the week. Special on or not. Pennywell has the best pizza around. The sauce is perfectly sweet, the toppings are not too excessive (just the right amount) cheese has the absoloute perfect coating on the slice. Went in there a few months ago, and I asked how old the slice was in the warmer, owner said about 30 minutes. Offered to cook a fresh pie, and I pay for a fresh slice & he offered to give me the other slices for free. Just got off work, stopped to Pennywell for a slice, owner was there and said the slice that was in the warmer was cooked a little too much for his liking, and offered to cook a fresh pie just to give me a fresh slice. 30 minutes old, slightly crispy cheese, doesn't matter. I love Pennywell. Staff is always friendly, and the owner actually cares about his customers. Will forever be my favorite pizza spot just based on the interactions with the staff alone !
The owner is really nice. I stopped by the store for the first time two days ago to buy a pizza. He told me I would come back for another one, and he was right. The pizza was so delicious and reasonably priced. It’s definitely going to be my favorite pizza place in St. John. Solid 5 stars
If there was one place for pizza place I could recommend, this is it! Been going here for my pies since the pizza shop started in the convenience store and not once has it disappointed. To anyone who haven’t tried it…. Just go and do it!
This is by far the best pizza place in town. Sunday special is unmatched. I normally get dips when I buy pizza but don't need to here love the sauce. It's nice to see an owner take pride in their business
